How can I sharpen an earring?

I'm going to be piercing my navel. Don't send me answers that tell me not to do it, or go to a professional. Because I wont lol. But how can I sharpen my earring. It's already a little sharp, but not really. It's one of those you get your ears pierced, but its gotten dull. So.... please help. Thanks in advanced.
