In qur'an its say that adam is big is he a giant and is it true that his first step land on sri lanka?

Never read the Qur'an, but in my bible Adam was a regular sized man and a hardworker, who loved his wife and sacrifices for the better. Maybe they were just meaning in a metophorical sense and not a literal sense. Maybe they just meant that as a man he did 'giant' things. That he was a great man. And the part about his first step being in Sri Lanka...ummm...I dont think so.
