Calpol and amoxicillin ?

I just want to know If it's ok to give abit of calpol at night to my 1 year old whilst he is on amoxicillin he's full of cold and has a really sore throat, he was up all night coughing and sneezing and was also sick because of coughing, I was abit weary not to give him calpol because of the amoxicillin and I thought who's best to ask, professional mums help please x
