What should you do if your bullied?

I know you should tell someone and theyll deal wiv it but I dont want to be a gr so I want to deal with it myself what should I do. I want to stand up to the bullies. I saw that there was one girl (bully) whos tie was loose and I pulled it off. She said " oooo hard" and they all laughed at me. What should I do to make them shutup and leave me alone and not to speak to me again. I dont want to hit them though. I told them to leave me alone and they wont. I havent told the teacher. pLEASE help!
